For children 5 and above, fingerprints and iris scans are collected. A parent or legal guardian must accompany minors and must present their own valid ID to prove the relationship.
          Yes. OFWs currently in the Philippines can register at any center. OFWs abroad can register at authorized Philippine embassies and consulates. Not all posts offer this service yet — check with your nearest Philippine embassy or consulate for their PhilSys registration schedule before visiting.
          Resident aliens — foreign nationals with legal permanent residency (ACR I-Card or Special Resident Retiree's Visa / SRRV) — are eligible. They must bring their ACR I-Card or SRRV plus their foreign passport. Tourists, temporary workers on short-term visas, and undocumented foreigners are not eligible.
          Yes — senior citizens are fully eligible and given priority lanes at all registration centers. Seniors with mobility issues can be assisted by a representative. Some LGUs offer home-based or facility-based registration for bedridden seniors — contact your local LGU or PSA provincial office to arrange this.
          No — there is no minimum age. Newborns can be registered. The only difference is that children under 5 years old don't have biometrics collected (fingerprints/iris scan). Children 5 to 17 have full biometrics but require a parent or guardian to be present at registration. Adults 18+ can register independently.
